I don't even have my new vehicle two weeks and an SUV backs out of a parking spot right into the rear driver's side wheel.
It is a little freaky when you are sitting that low and an SUV is backing into you. |

has anybody noticed a relationship to gas prices and large vehicles going slower on the highway?
Whenever the gas prices are up ive noticed that the SUV and big car drivers tend to go 80 and 90 on the highway much more often. I guess they cant afford to fill those gas guzzlers eh? |

I've noticed those idiots hogging the left lane doing 120 and under alot more lately. It's so damn annoying! Take a clue people! If people are passing you on the right, get the out of the left lane!!!
I dont let the high gas prices bug me. You only live once and if wanna drive fast I'm gonna bloody well drive fast! LOL
Scott the idea of your fine automobile getting hit makes me wanna find the guy who did it and rough him up for you. :toothless |

Don't blame the SUV, blame the driver :p
Seriously though, it sucks that something like this happened to your new car. A couple weeks ago somebody did some major damage to my door in the parking lot at work. My car is not even new but I was super upset! :whip: |

If they're concerned about gas mileage, they're making a mistake. If I'm not mistaken, the better gas mileage you get the faster you drive? |

You're mistaken. :p
Higher speed = higher RPM and more drag on your vehicle. Therefore more gas is being burned. |

^^ Exactly, if I'm not mistaken, the most efficient gas mileage is when you are driving 80-90 km/h.
Sad :( |

they need to revamp the speed limits on the freeways.
Id say do it like the US
MAX CITY FREEWAY 100-110
COUNTRY FREEWAY 120
MINIMUM 90
And then enforce it |

Apparently so, I've been looking around the web. Mileage increases as you increase up to 90Kph and decreases from that point on... unless that's some sort of propaganda so we don't speed ;) I figured the faster you drive, the cost to fuel is less than the gain in speed. But considering drag increases with higher speeds it makes sense. |
