Anyone have any good tips? I run my own label, digital only, and am looking for tips to get my music heard and sold online. I am part of beatport (www.beatport.com/layered), which is the best site to sell EDM on I think, and would like to find good ways to get people to buy my music.
I am busy setting up my label's website which will act as a good base. What about promo services, do you guys feel that they work? Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated! |

well there's a guy promoting his edm label here in el salvador. He created the label "Istmo Music" which only works with producer of the Central American region. He throws parties every two weeks at a local club. The label has been featured in resident advisor.
So basically throw parties and get featured in edm news :toothless
hey btw i just saw your beatport page but that artwork just looks awful, it doesn't make me want to even preview your track!!! |

Sorry it doesn't matter that they put it with the wrong tracks.
If that artwork is really your own it sucks big time sorry to say.
Now in regards to promoting. You need to have djs around the world play your track, get it playlisted, have a myspace page, an email list etc etc |

Yea, busy doing all of these things. I'm also considering joining a promo release service to get the tracks to more dj's. |
