Although you can often find links to e-books in the thread about book recommendations, I was wondering whether it wouldn't be a better idea if we also had a small e-library, where we'd link to important books of important fields, with nothing more than a title, a link, and a synopsis.
This means it wouldn't be a copycat of the "book recommendation thread": it would be an organised link deposit. Sorry for using French, but this I have this in another tab and I couldn't be arsed to look for another example:

- Sociology
----The Elementary Forms of the Religious Life (translation would come here)
----Suicide (translation would come here)
--Max Weber

We could limit ourselves to the original version and the English translation (whenever available). Also, we could link to that Internet Archive website, where they make back-up copies of all websites (this means it will take longer for links to be broken).
What do you guys say? |

I'm aware of it, but it's far from being the only source of e-books out there: in fact, it doesn't even have the books by Durkheim I posted :p |
