You are correct, Tiesto @ Mansion during conference was amazing in all respects. Best trance show I went to during conference this year.
And I also had thought Mansion was not a good venue for Tiesto, and oh was I wrong. It was perfect, is actually bigger than Space, and every inch of room was needed because it was slammed packed. But that was conference, so I doubt it will be as bad this time.
As for another seven (7) hour set, he does like to play alone most of the time now (and should at his rates), and Mansion does not have an appropriate trance resident to open, so it's a definite possibility.
I am also interested to see how long he will play at Bang Music Festival. Hopefully a long set, and/or Bang will actually have a trance stage this year and bring not only Tiesto, but some other top trance acts. |

| everybody knows i will be there but....like dj douglas said he belongs at space, bringing it hard and nasty. im very ambivalent about the whole thing. i just dont understand why he isnt playing space anymore. me cry a lot:confused: haha |

the set was ok. first three hours were nice, next two were horrible and the set lacked direction, and he really banged it out the last two hours. i wonder what circus acts he has in store this time. |

We apparently have different tastes in music. I guess you like housier and progressive/softer trance, because the first two or three hours which you classify as "nice" were just that. Not bad, but lighter sounds. The middle of the set did lag, you are correct. But that was mainly because he brought that cracked out looking chick to sing some songs, which kiiled the vibe and flow he had built up to that point.
As for banging out the last two hours, it was almost three hours, and thank God for it because that is what I paid for. It was conference, and every year during conference many people look forward to Tiesto putting away his trance-lite and commercial records and bringing it hard & nasty for a large part of his set - namely the last couple of hours. His conference sets @ Space in 2003, 2004 & 2005 were great because of the way he did so year in and year out.
We will see what he brings to the table next time. And yeah those circus acts were interesting. Now we know where all the money goes. |

i shiver when i think of Trance Energy! Jordy i'll be there bro!!! I prefer Space better than Mansion. Even though Tiesto tore it up good at mansion i heard, i think I would prefer Space. |
