Heading to the world famous Zouk nightclub tonight for their friday we love house nights!!! I got the chance to visit this club in September of last year and can definitely see why it's so highly regarded by DJs and clubbers worldwide!

I've been in Singapore for about 4 days now and this place is fantastic. So clean and green and the people are friendly! The shopping is amazing (nationwide sale anyone?) and the food is even more amazing (peppered and chili crab galore)!
A bit expensive here but you get what you pay for...everything is so convenient and new, such a nice change from Taipei :wtf:

Compared to the rest of Asia, Singapore was expensive. But compared to Toronto it was the same if not cheaper.

Compared to Hong Kong it's cheaper....cabs are cheaper and hotels are cheaper. We're staying at a four seasons hotel near Orchard Road and it's about 200 Singapore dollars a night, a hotel like this in Hong Kong would easily be 300+ Sing. dollars a night.

Drinks are expensive though, the cheapest beer I've seen was in Little India and that was a 4.50 sing dollar mug of Tiger Beer. The bar in our hotel had martinis for 20 dollars (and that was the cheapest thing on the menu lol).

I don't mind paying a little extra for such a gorgeous place though, there are dirty places here like any big city but for the most part it's clean(lots of lush, green trees to compliment the roads)...the roads are nice and it's very easy to get around if you only speak English.

Does Peter own the club?

LOVE this beer! Drank is all the time back in university!

I had a Malaysian friend whose favourite beer it was that introduced me to Tiger tallboys! :p

I think I need to buy a few again next time I'm at the LCBO.

Just got back from Zouk!

Wow this club...despite it's extremely expensive drinks (if you know the right people and can get into the winebar or have a membership it's 1 for 1 (2 drinks for 1) the club is pheonomenaol (ack spelling!).

Tonight was just a regular "we love house" night with DJB spinning (who is a regular Zouk resident). This guy could match up to any house DJ I've seen in Toronto, Asia, America etc. The crowd was increidibly energetic...I left around 4am and the place was still packed. I still can say this is my favourite club I've EVER been to. The crowd is just phenoneomal (1% of the people are on drugs and the place is just pumping!). I went out onto the dancefloor with one friend and he ended up going somwhere so I danced by myself for most of the night to some very good:D tribal house and everyone around me kept that vibe going strong...this is definitely one of the few places in Asia where that happens :D :D :D

PS - Tiger beer rocks...but Hoegarden ftw!!!

Try ordering singapore noodles (vermicelli noodles mixed in spicy curry paste with a medley of veggie's and shrimp, chicken/pork) in singapore. My friends got a blank stare on several occasions. :)

I honestly didnt find anything in Singapore to be expensive (unless of course you go to expensive places)

A really nice luxury holiday inn room was $100 cdn (for the same calibre of hotel it was far cheaper than toronto)

Cab to the airport was $25. Average meal was $20. Pretty much the same as here. What made it look expensive though was that taxes and gratuities were included.
