If I want to do a mix in Ableton which I often do when I'm at the computer surfing the web and working on my studies I do it in real time it doesn't take me any prep work. It is faster than if I were digging through crates of records or a CD wallet looking for tracks. What is so hard about loading in a track looking through the rest of your tracks and loading up another one to mix in? Or looking through your samples for a vocal or some precussion to add?

Prepping loops, creating samples from misc tracks, loading hundreds of tracks into the library. Ect Ect. Sorry im not THE FLASH like you are. I really don't think laptops are fool proof as well when subjected to harsh vibrations, it can crash/stutter, etc.

Well I guess you like the use of ableton. Even though I do use it sometimes, I would much rather be hands on with a mixer, some tables/cdj's and a sampler.

And CDJs are somehow less prone to ups? I've seen CDJ's up alot more than Sasha's mac.

From the above you obviously have no idea how to DJ with Live.

I am actually well versed with Ableton Live, Clovis. And based on my experience using a MAC with live, I much prefer using a CDJ and a Mixer. No need to get your panties in a bunch, im just expressing to you my OPINION.

Sorry for the misconception, I had the original ES1mkII - Electribe SmkII Rhythm Production Sampler but I sold it to my friend and picked up the new ESX-1 - Electribe SX Music Production Sampler. This sampler uses two analog tube circuits that makes for a very "warm" sound. That is what I meant.

Clovis' panties have no bearing on this conversation and I'd appreciate you not mentioning them in this thread.

I get jealous easily.

Your opinion is still based on stupid reasons if you stand by the posts above.

Nope, they are based on personal preferences my little friend. Can you comprehend that or are you going to continue bitching and moaning?

Ableton is a great tool for studio mixing imo. As for live djing, I dont think Id ever use it by itself. Maybe in tandem with cdjs and/or vinyl if I ever get that far. I just like the feel of actually putting a record on the platter, pressing start, putting the needle down and mixing from there. I would, however, like to get ableton to make some sick mixes with.
