i don't know much bout them, so i got a question...
can they 'die' somehow? i got a text from a girl that her 'contact lenses died' so she cannot meet me till monday.
just sounded like a lie to me
how can they die in one night? u suddenly get a hole in the middle or what? and say they are good for 90 days, are they totally unusable on the 91st day?

I've had contacts for over seven years and I've never heard anyone say their contact "died". And I have two week disposable contacts that I've worn for two months. They can start to feel dry, but I don't know what "die" means in the realm of contacts.

Ive had monthly contacts for some years now. I wear them until they hurt like hell and I've got no choice to throw them away.
Either you DID get pwned by that chick, or her contacts simply are all worn out (it itches the eyes like a bitch, and makes your eyes red like red ).
That being said, she can't go out because her eyes hurt (and has none left to replace them) |

That sounds ed up.
Yeah you can usually get way more than a month out of monthly contact lenses. They do get a bit uncomfortable after a while though. Or they break. Just the usual.
They dont just die though, I dunno WTF she meant there :wtf: |

Maybe there's contact users out there who commonly refer to a rip, tear, or some other significant marring to a contact as the contact "dying", but I obviously have not attributed the word to contact usage. As I interpret it it'd be like me wearing my two-weekers as regular and somewhere within the alloted two week time one of them just decides it's going to disintegrate or just not work any more. And that has never happened, and even if it did you generally have others there to replace them.
I'm sticking with the idea that you got played. |

yeah, how the it can become unwearable in 12 hours?? i said bye to her at 1am last night, heard no complains about her lenses... 12 hours later she tells me they "died".
unrealistic.
