You may find the solution u have stings a bit, in which case try a few different ones. I recommend this one:

You need to have a contact lens case to put them in when you take them out of your eyes (these usually come free with the solution):

When you take the lens out of each eye squirt some solution at them to rinse them, then put them in the case (make sure you don't get left and right lens mixed up - that's what the "R" is there for). Fill each little compartment with solution before closing it.

Try and avoid sleeping with the lenses in, unless they're the special ones you're allowed to sleep with.

NEVER - rinse the lenses with anything other than solution. Tap water contains many irritants, as well as bacteria, some of which are capable of eating through your cornea in 24 hours!

I use Complete too! It's the only kind that doesn't irritate my eyes.

Now now, you make it sound like if you put your eyes under tap water then they could be damaged... To clarify, what makes it dangerous is that contacts make the tap water sit between the cornea and the contact, so if there is dangerous, live bacteria, it has a much easier time eating through it, but rinsing it with saline solution before you put it in your eye pretty much negates this. Of course, you don't have to worry really at all if you don't rinse it with tap water.

As for the "dying", the only thing I can think of is that she means her contacts didn't sit in solution/liquid over night, and so are dried up into a crumbled, plastic mess. Only contact n00bs and retards do this though, so unless she's new to the contact scene, I don't think you missed much of a date.

Anybody know if it's possible to lose a contact in your eye? If one goes behind your eye, would you notice it? 'Cuz I've just lost one a few times & sworn it didn't fall out. I have a feeling they're all going to come pouring back out or something at some inopportune time in the future.

I just have one advice: don't put your contacts on or take them off right after eating spicy peppers.

I touched a spicy peper today and then put them on and it burned like a mofo

I found a keychain on the floor @ a party one time & picked it up to try to figure out whose it was. I couldn't figure it out, then rubbed my eyes. Turned out the red leather thing that was hanging in between the keys was a mace holder. That was no fun.

You can lose one behind an eyelid. Chances are you'd feel it back there, if you're worried get your optometrist to look at it.

meh. I figure they're gone, regardless. Either fell out or disintegrated. Just curious if the latter was possible.

It's possible for that to happen, but you'd feel it if it was back there. No need to worry if it's stuck back there now.

Yeah... they can't actually go all the way behind the eyeball into the eyesocket, apparently there's a membrane there to prevent stuff getting in.

if your contact goes behind your eye, just push as hard as you can with your thumb on your eyeball and make it squish out. The contact, I mean. not your actual eye.
enferno
i think you have to fill jonson's hole first
