Do blind people dream??

| this question has been bothering me for a while now. What do you guys think? Do bilnd people dream and if they do, what do they dream about since they cant see anything. |

I guess they dream in sound only?
I mean my dreams have full surround sound too |

| im sure it has to do with if they were able to ever see before in there life. if they were born blind, then i dont see how they could generate pictures to dream about if they have never seen anything to visualize it. if they have seen things before, then im sure they do dream. what do they dream about? who knows? youd have to ask a blind person, but they probably wouldnt know this thread exists. |

| i am talking about people who are born blind, but doenst evey one go through REM sleep? so that means they do have to dream |

how is a question stupid???? i had a doubt and i asked and no one has answerd the question. my quesion still is do blind people dream and if they do what do they dream aboutif they do what do they dream about |

agreed that this is not a stupid question. i'm curious as well. i had never thought about it before. sure they dream but what do they dream about? i'd like to ask them to describe their dreams. maybe they're real vivid or maybe they can't remember them like me. but then if they've never been able to process pictures then do they "see" their dreams or do they just "hear" them as pjotr g mentioned? perhaps since they can make a mental picture of something by feeling it that they take these perceived images and use them in their dreams. very interesting.

its just pissed me off royaly
one.. depends on the person.. if the person was blind from birth.. most of there dreams are sensery like.. the feeling you get when your falling.. the feeling you get when you beeing yelled at.. etc..
and usualy they will consist of dark and light shades.. depending on the way a person is
if a person became blind in their life time.. then they know waht.. ciertin things look like.. soo they would see in there imagination things what they remember..... |

when you close your eyes.. and think... do you see .. or do you "see"
the first see was indicated.. as.. like.. your instinct of what your imagination is based on..
soo.. like.. hmm.. well.. blind from birth... ppll see the world an entirely differn't way..
i'm sorry that i got mad.. but .. ohh.. it ticked me.. off soooo much.......

another thing is.. that.. dreaming is not of seaing.. it's imaginatioin |
