thanks for a fun night guys (take note I'm awake before 7pm)!
A shame about the sound being weird and quiet at the start I don't think the sound engineer trusted me not to run all the levels into the red. I'm glad they eventually turned it up though!
You guys showed me a great time as always...
u rawk

This show was far better than the last time I saw James in the guv. Setting him up in front of the stage was the best thing they could have done. Met a ton of TAs and a few ravelizards, and everyone seemed to be having a blast. Definately the hardest I've seen James spin.. A few tracks I recognized were:
James Zabiela - Weird Science (or was it Weirder?)
Montero - Hairy Hits
The Church - Under the Milky Way (Lance Cashion Remix)
Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (r3volve Remix)
I remembered more last night, but I'm still recovering. I could swear I heard Sharon Phillips - Want 2 Need 2 and Teamsters - Feels Like Love, but I think one was played by mark oliver a few tracks after James ended his set. What a sick sick party. |

This was my first time seeing James Z play and I was IMPRESSED! The way he handles himself up there is amazing..definitely do not regret going even though I literally felt like I was on my deathbed from having a sore throat/flu. Around 3 or so I finally decided I need to go home and rest as I think I have an ear infection now. :(
It was still worth dragging myself out of bed for. It was nice seeing a few more TA's I haven't seen before :)
Kat..sorry i didn't see u..hope u had a great bday! :) |

lol, yeah Sasha was goin hard hard hard by sydney at the end of the night...as was I, but back to the start for a moment.
James, absolutely amazing set...was up at the front all night mesmerized by the deck maneuvers and my highlight was the masterful IMMI - Monday re-editing that seemed to go on forever. Those at the front who watched were impressed as I was and it seemed like everyone was just in awe...James I think you have officially killed the Guv's main room for the rest of 2006 - Monster up! Always nice to see a DJ who meets the crowd and actually enjoys himself possibly more then those of us in the crowd.
Anyway back to where I began, James' saucy minimally breaks/electro was nice and soothing all night and then we bailed into the gallery and were assaulted by sydney just pounding in there...definitely perfect finish to burn up all that extra energy before heading home.
All in all, just devastatingly sick night, so happy to be out for this one. |
