So, I am sitting here listening to ASOT 250, and totally groovin' out.
At the same time, I am also talking to people on MSN.
I hit the backspace too many times, which subsequently made the dinging noise.
... I liked the sound it made along with the particular beat playing, so I started pressing the backspace to the beat of the song :D
LOL!
Have any of you started making music out of totally random things? Beeping the horn of your car to the music, or something else equally silly? |
Well I've never done anything as silly as starting a thread like this.... |

I spilled vodka & energy drink on my mouse last year, causing the buttons to stick when you pushed them down. They would click back up after the same amount of time after you let go, every time. I found myself incorporating that into my playtime in Ableton a lot.
Another one I used to be guilty of was pressing & releasing the brake slightly whenever I was at a stoplight & something with inverted bass was playing :p |

| my ass can emulate a really bad bass patch but i can get a decent percussive sound from the belch after drinking beer, quite a full rounded sound. |

They probably figure you're doing it to the beat! :p
I can't think of any specific examples of "making" music, but I know I've done it before. What I do much more frequently when listening to music though is do whatever I'm doing to the beat (literally, anything that could stop or start on a beat, etc). I love when random "music" occurs, which is usually with the washer and dryer or the dish washer. Gotta start dancing to that. :p |
