Ableton Live has this nice feature where you can use your computer keyboard to trigger instruments. Unfortunately i don't use ableton. has any one come across any software that would allow you to do the same within cubase for instance? without the need to hightlight the window? right within your sequencer? i burn way to many calories reaching for the midi keyboard |

Haha, borat is too funny.
On a similar topic.
Does anyone know any good progams that teach music theory starting from grade one or two. The program has to have midi, i want something interactive so it teaches practicle and theory using a keyboard.
Preferably a program that is free or under $100. |

Aye, gotta love a man who can make a redneck do anything for a good laugh. talk about being super hypnotic.
As for the theory software; there's nothing better than a good book in my oppinion, (with more information than any piece of software for a lot less) and some quality time skipping school with your keyboard. make it your best buddy :)
but what do you hope to achieve with the software specifically? learn to read sheet music? learn theory for writing trance riffs? |

I was after software because I would be able to work on my theory and put it in practice and be able to work on things like timing and such.
Iv heard from so many people that I should use books so im going to get me some books! Thanks for the help.
To Uber Hypnotiq:
I was trying to make a point that your post was a waiste on these forums. These forums are supposed to be about helping eachother creat music. Not to attack others ideas. I cant say that I have been an angel but just remember; If you have not got something usefull/nice to say then just dont say it. |

i'm sure it will come in quite handy when a midi contoller isn't available, but I still can't wait to get working on my Evolution MK-425C instead of a flipping computer keyboard :) |
