Hey, when i use a spectral analyser on my tracks in wav format they look ok, but when I convert to mp3 some deficiencies appear. Does anyone know why?

Thanks in advance.

could be because the mp3 format discards several frequencies deemed unimportant..

spectral freqs tend to be in the upper ranges; exactly where mp3 does most of its work.

hey thanks for that Optik!

I generally use Spectroman as my spectral analyser. Is it sufficient or should I get WAVES?

Yeah, that's funny stuff. Since Elemental Audio got taken over
by this Roger Nichols dude, the interface got a cheesy make-over,
the names got even cheesier. But that's not important, the most important thing is that the prices have quadrupled
while the plug-ins are still the same.
