recently I ran into this problem with my computer which has got me totally confused. I admit I'm not all that computer savy so I'm hoping that it might not be difficult for somebody who knows more to help me out.
I have been attempting to record a live set using cracked recording software called Audio Editor Gold, and every time i get near the forty minute mark the program begins messing up. A pop up appears on the screen each time that says "virtual memory too low", and then the program usually just shuts itself off.
is there anything I can do to fix this? |

Yes. The problem is most likely that your computer is too slow to record raw audio.
So your computer is struggling and finally gives up, giving you the middle finger by saying '' you Justin, I can't take this anymore''
What you could do to help you computer is go to the preferences/options menu and increase the bufer rate to the highest possible setting!
This will give you computer a bit more room to handle the recording because it wont be working so hard.
If this doesn't work change the sampple rate instead of 24 bit 96k for example try
24bit 44.1 k or even 16bit 44.1 k.
This will negatively affect the fidelity of the recording a wee bit but you got to do what you got to do...
If none of the above methods work
buy more ram for your computer or try less cpu intencive software prog/s.
