so i'm doing an engineering internship right now. pretty boring work, long hours, but good pay, so i'm sticking with it. everyone i work with has kids my age, so it's real weird.
But, bosses are pretty lax. just one of them came up to me, and asked me to go play golf with him this afternoon. SwEeT!!
any other good/bad experiences? |

both of my bosses are pretty cool, but one of them seems to think that he impresses me sometimes and it skeezes me out actually. he's like 5'6 and about 30 lbs over weight with facial hair and he really is nothing special, (actually, i think he's downright ugly) but whenever he has a date, he loves to tell the story to the office. in the middle of the story, he'll say something like, "well...she expressed to me that she is very fond of me.." and i'll be like, "wait, are we talking about ____ here?" and he'll go, "no...hehe, but she has expressed to me how fond of me she is too...so anyway, bla bla bla" :wtf:
it really annoys me cuz i feel like saying, "oh yea buddy, i'm sure you're just fighting them off with a bat now aren't u?"
ughh. in men, i swear.
other than that, yea, they're cool. |

it pisses me off when someone who i KNOW doesnt get any play always talks big or tries to be the man.
like this fat ass stoner kid who was randomly at a party last night... everyone knew he was just a high loser but hes gotta go and tell us that he doesnt know if he can handle girls tonight because.... "my dicks still sore from in those two chicks earlier today".

as far as bosses go, i HATE them!
i was having a good time but then i had to deal with the boss... and when i was done with her, her sister!
so i thought i was done with her sister but then she turned into a tentacle monster which made it take even longer...
and i didnt get a single save point! of course after i beat her i have to deal with bowser... it was just a mess.
but i did beat mario and luigi: partners in time yesterday. |

my bosses impress me
to be honest when im at work im pretty shy i don't want to disturb people and really want to do everything well and just give the best of myself (same for school anyway)
but my bosses are nice very relaxed ...The second day i was there i was tire to calculate the whole day and had the brain like a pumpkin i asked my boss if i could take a 2 min break.....And he seemed so surprised i ask him such a question
he was like "haha of course whenever u want take breaks....Go drink a coffee smoke a cigarette u also can smoke in your office well do whatever u want"
so haha yeah i like this place :) but i don't abuse of the advantages given of course |

i have mixed opinoins of bosses. i work in the engineering field as a junior engineer. now im not a sexist person, and i have no problem working with women, but they are the worst bosses on the planet!!.
of all my jobs i have ever had, i have had two male bosses, and two female boses. the male bosses were pretty cool, one was amazing, and i learned alot from him, the other was a moron, but easy going.
the problem with engineering is that it still tends to be a male dominated industry, as such, the female engineers tend to think they need to "prove" something. my old dept manager last year had to be the biggest bitch of all time. ive worked in this dept for 5 years now and the first assignment she gives me when she started a year ago was to go get her coffee from the boardroom. her voice was like nails down a chalk board, and lets not forget the fact that she reminded me of a pear shapped T-rex (she was +sized, well she was a behemoth.... and it looked like her arms were only 12 inches long and she was 10 feet wide at the waist. beyond these accolades, she was obtuse, two faced, self centered, never stood up for her employees, and took credit for our work with her superiors. infact, when she left our dept we put her departure in our quality tracking system as a overall quality improvement.....o and then there is the fact taht as teh engineering manager for VEHICLE ENGINEERING division, she didnt know what a torque converter was
the other female boss i had was a micro-managing egotistical nut buster, who loved cheating on her husband btw...... i had to check her email for her while she was away on company business the one day and she had like 5 emails from different guys that were pretty graphic....
i dont care what kind of management shcool you went too, no employee likes getting treated like , not getting credit for their work etc.... dont get me wrong, one of my male bosses was dumb as rocks too, but at least he showed some respect and treated us with some kind of dignity. |

Other than the fact that my boss is kind of a moron and I could do his job if I wanted to put in that kind of time, hes pretty cool. Im sure he knows that Im on the internet all the time and just lets it go. Definitely the best boss Ive ever had.
The worst boss I had was at Publix (a grocery store in FL). omg the guy was an absolute prick, douchebag, mother******. I hated that guy. Anytime there was some nasty to clean up, he called me to go and clean it up. And I could tell he took pleasure in firing me for stealing. in . |

i dont know many people that i work with (grocery store) who dont steal from it.
heres why:
minimum wage with small differences between people with the same job (wtf! i make less than the new guys)
we have absolutely NO benefits. the kids at the theatre get free popcorn/soda/movies. we get... nothign. no discounts... the most is leftover food from the managers PAID LUNCHES (we dont get paid for ours).
the work is constant and micromanaged. we're expected to entertain the customers as well.
doing carts is hot as hell. shouldnt we get water? nope.
my job im quitting soon. its so unfair at times. do i steal? not directly, though i lift the bag of gummies a bit when its on the scale for pricing. |
