| HTFR is The worst Vinyl Shop ever! I have gotten some really really dodgy pressings off them in the past and I dont use them anymore |

| i have yet to have a bad experience with htfr... the only probs ive had with orderin anything online is when the stupid mailman leaves the box of vinyl that says "Do not leave In sun" in the sun...theres no shade anywhere near my doorway...all they would have to do is knock cause im always home when they deliver our mail... |

coupel of things...
1) apparently htfr sells a lot of bootlegs/dodgy pressings so avoid them (i think there was a big "uncovering" on the web a month or so ago)
2) it's not soo much the exhange rates that rapes you (as said earlier even retailers have to get the records from overseas)... it's the shipping! 1 vinyl from the UK is like $8... bam, $8 down the drain for every single purchase... the key is stacking your orders
3) www.dancerecords.com is a good US retailer... they get stuff in quite often... true, a lot of times it says stuff is out of stock but just enable that e-mail remainder and it will e-mail you as soon as stuff comes in, and it's very accurate... just be sure to react accordingly
4) some other good US retailers are sellers on GEMM and Musicstack and eBay |

| i dont like enough new releases to worry about how much vinyl costs. im happy to pay thru the nose for music that i love. im with freak, i like having the physical product. |

see the thing is i'd love to spin on my technics a lot more (thus having more vinyls)...
but I think i'm just going to stick with buying specific tracks that I like significantly more rather than going on a spree just to have "vinyl tracks to play"
it's hella fun and I dont want to regret selling my technics, but its just too damn expensive to constantly purchase loads of vinyl!:eyespop: |

Thats pretty avg. if not cheap..
The local shop here in Canada avg. price is about 15.99.. so times that by 8 and you are looking at $128... was pretty normal for me to walk out with 6-10 tunes at once... |

Are you one of the stupid s who goes out & buy turntables & doesn't think of the cost of vinyl's before you buy dj equipment??
Shut your mouth & stop complaining. If your pissed off then sell the TT's & buy cd players. |
