Do you find it easier to remix stuff or make your own?
alot of people say remixing although i find making original material much easier. |

| I vote remixing is easier because of the reason already stated, also it's easier to just take someone's idea and run with it rather than start from scratch. |

| Remixing allows you to build a tune round a melody. When I make my own stuff I generally make the melody as I go along. |

Already made 2 remixes in 2 weeks and I'm going for a 4 in 4 ;)
Remixes are way easier, just get the groove going and you're done. |

I find making originals easier...because when you remix, you have to first understand what the original artist wanted to say...then the melody he did...what goes with it and what not...etc...
if you do original composition you're free to do anything you like...if something doesn't fit the original melody you did, you can change it...you can't do the same when remixing cuz the melody should stay from the original so ít's recognizable to be a remix... |

I disagree, sometimes a totally different remix is refreshing. |

well yes, different...but there still have to be some reminiscence kept for it being a remix...
you can do a completely new original song, just by jamming to your favourite songs loop...but that doesn't make it a remix once you delete that loop...cuz remix...has to have parts of original to be recognizable :)
