Well destroying reputation and emotional damage will be more than enough to receive $10,000+
Not to mention that she'll probably have to repay the money she used from the joint back account, because she abused the account. |

thats civil court stuff at worst though. and between husband and wife, you have a "1 legal body" rule and she cant be really sued until after the divorce. However, suing someone for catching you cheating is opening yourself up to a counter suit and Im pretty sure shed get a lot more money than 10 grand. As well as that, depending on the divorce proceeding, that 10,000 is going to be "his" anyway and shell be paying back a minor portion of that which she got from him. Furthermore, depending on her job status, she wont have the "means to support herself" after divorce and she will get further stipends to offset the fact that she is a woman.
She'll come out on the proverbial top on this one. |

Well I can only speak for the Belgian justice system off course. Cheating on your wife isn't illegal over here (it used to be..back in 1950 or so) so she would mostly get some money for emotional damage. The staining of someones reputation like that is much worse imo. I guess you're right that he should wait until after the divorce. Unless this falls under the inheritance laws (which belongs to one partner only). But I'm not sure about that :clown: |
