| if you have a recording program (Cool Edit Pro, for example) you can set your recording to stereo mix then rip it off the site |

It's possible to get at the flash code, yes... but no you couldn't do that with Beatport cos funnily enough all of the card details etc are sent to a very very secure server, which Beatport probably don't even have control over themselves. |

Ok.
1) Bart Claessen's site. Go to it, right click on the liveset link. Open that link in your browser. Right click -> View Source.
2) You can see that the embedded flash object is "/swf/audioplayer_livemix.swf". Pop that into the address bar, download it.
3) Get a decompiler. Action Script Viewer is my favorite...but there are a few others. Open the swf, and from there, play around until you find what you're looking for.
4) You can see that an embedded playlist file is "http://www.bartclaessen.com/audio/livemix/livemix.xspf". Open that in notepad.
5) http://www.bartclaessen.com/audio/livemix/060506BartClaessen_Futuregrooves.mp3

Spot on ;) haha
Although you do need to know what you're looking for, so knowing your way around flash action script a bit can help but as you say it's not essential. |

Hehe, true. And btw, no disrespect, Stu. Props for getting it done first, I was merely proving a point to dj_kane :p |
