294 ing sucks.
i don't live in Chicago so i don't know how the traffic and construction is at the moment, but i've always had way more problems with traffic on 294 than on 94. traffic on 94 at least always seems to move at a decent pace... whereas everytime i've taken 294 i end up sitting there in slow traffic barely moving for hours.
best bet for anyone coming from far away through Chicago is to try to time your trip so that you come through Chicago at a time when there is reasonably less traffic. if anyone wants to head up early, i'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. Rob and i are just gonna be chillin in Abbleton all weekend, and probably heading out to the bars on Friday night to promote for Saturday night.

OK, so if everyone could do me a quick favor and just make sure the RSVP list I have posted in the first post is accurate, that way I'll know who I have to get directions/addresses/phone numbers etc. to... :)

what time are you planning on leaving Michigan on Friday? if you're leaving earlier, i'd say try to plan on goin through Chicago before rush hour traffic gets bad... otherwise wait until after rush hour traffic. i'm not sure what hours traffic is the worst but i'd guess anywhere from 3pm-7pm... but with it being Friday and summertime, who the knows.
regardless of when you all arrive, it's party time all weekend so no worries... :cool: |

I just drove through Chicago on 294 during rush hour. MUCH better than 94. Theyve opened up the middle iPass lanes so theres practically no waiting at the toll booths. Kickass. Id suggest 294 because we went to Wisconsin on 94 two weeks ago and it was a bitch at the 90 interchange.
Its funny though, I never think about which way Im going to go until I get there. Then Im like "Eh, Id like to see the city tonight. We'll do Dan Ryan." |
