I'm a Field Brand Trainer for Whirlpool Corp. I handle product training in the field both internally and externally. When I don't have trainings scheduled, I do nothing.....which is what I have been doing for the last 2 weeks. It's boring the crap out of me right now and I am thinking about seeing if I could do some part-time personal training when I have down time. I'm salaried and recieve a yearly bonus, plus car allowance.

p.s. - Orbax wants me to get fired from my job. :(

I work in an IT department doing network and computer support. I can't complain, life could be so much worse. However my situation here is stagnant and there isn't much room for advancement unless I stay here forever. Somehow I thought I'd be further along at my age than I am now. Still though, when I see a bum on the street or a construction worker busting his ass doing manual labor, I remind myself to be thankful for what I have. Nothing against construction workers, its just I hate manual labor.

I work for FOX, or more specifically FOX Networks Engineering & Operations. I work heldpesk for all the graphic operators of all the different FSN channels (FSN, FSN Prime Ticket, FSN North, FSN Southwest etc..) as well as any of the sports shows on FOX. Basically if their program crashes, or if they're having problems with any of the plugins designed for the graphics software, they call me. It's pretty sweet :D

that is sweet. i've always been kind of curious to find out more about graphics operations on all the random news networks. whenever i watch The Daily Show i always catch myself staring at the graphics, trying to figure out how they create them. i'm still completely clueless when it comes to graphic videos/animations since i only create static stuff for web and print.

That's why I wanted a job at a movie theater, for the movies. Oh well, I hope I can get a few free tickets every week.

yea, i love movies, that would be pretty cool, but boring.

1$/hour seems extraordinarily impossible. (what math did you do to come to this?) unless you're an illegal immigrant or something.
but minimum wage is so much more than that.
you can sue, or ask for a salary increase.

right now, i'm still a college student (junior looking towards EE and Econ double major), but i have an internship during the summer that pays 20/hour. last summer i had another internship that payed 11.50/hour.
it's pretty boring stuff, and i really think anybody could do it. last summer i designed mechanical and electrical systems in new and renovated buildings.
this summer, i'm basically correcting any drawings that need to be fixed (red lines they're called) for a large engineering firm that works for major oil companies' chemical plants (in the electrical department)

i will also be buying a uc33e with the money i gained the summer. good stuff.

also, little side fact: did you know that CEOs make the same amount of money in a day that you make in a whole year of work?! crazy!!
