I headed straight for mighty after my night class finished and ended up getting inside around 10:20. dj bali is throwing down a KILLER set with heavy progressive beats, unfortunately the place is pretty empty as mighty usually fills up around midnight. but if there were more than like 20 people inside, it would have been jumpin for sure... jeffrey allen takes over around 11:15 and the place starts filling up and moving finally. allen dropped a solid progressive house set, which had people pumped by the time zabiela shows up. after setting up all his appletr0n, efx, djm, etc toys zabiela goes to work. now i've seen him spin 3 times in the last year or so and one thing you can always bank on is jz putting 110% effort into his performances (the video clips speak for themselves). and each time he offers up something a little new and a little different. he played a lot of familiar tracks from recent livesets, but i suck with ids so i'm not even gonna try to put a list together :o two tracks i wanted to hear but didn't were depeche mode's precious (ffx remix) and imogen heap - hide & seek (r3volve's h&s remix)... oh well :( zabs wrapped things up a little after 3, he could have gone as long as he wanted, but i'm sure he wanted to rest up before his seattle gig today so he took the "thank you" robot effect and looped and warped it into a nice little beat which he h4xed for a couple minutes. that was pretty cool i must say. i'd be cool if someone could id some the tracks from the video clips, i have about 15 minutes worth of zabielh4x for your listening and viewing pleasure :eyespop:

we had a really good time and i liked mighty except for no ins and outs...other than that it was great night and there was a really good vibe throughout it....
it was great seeing you rich...we'll see you at deep dish later tonight.

yeah it was...my fav time seeing JZ hands down. Love that guy...hes just ing smiles all the time. JZ is making the world happy one clubber at a time :p |

you may have not gotten it in SF, but c'mon can you think of a better way to end the first fundacion avalon gig this year than james bustin this out at 7:00am? my god we were all going ininsane!
