About freedom of speech.
And it probably still doesn't make enough sense for some of you(Psy-T).
In short,
Freedom of speech is nothing more than a right to be ignorant. |

The reason why communism failed was because they didn't allow people to express themselves.
What makes freedom of speech so good for governments is that the people not only express themselves but they feel like their words have some significance. It's what makes a government like the US going because people have been dumbed down to a point where their will be no action and few will take any action against the government. The government has no worries because they understand the power of mass media and as long as their is free speech where one side can take the opposite and feel like his side is right than the man is satisfied.
All this talk has made the perfect society to govern. |
