help:: any good sample cds?

| well i have over like 5 sample cds not very happy with them ......some of the basses are kool but sound very outdated any know of any updated sample cds? |

I got a few of kicks with the names bdeTTE30001dance1.wav, bdeTTE30001deep1.wav, bdeTTE30001techno1.wav. I wish I knew what CD this was so I could buy it.
They are much more trancy than vengeance which in my opinion is full of hardstyle crap. If you like kicks with loads of snares, claps, hi-hats layered on them, with massive gates vengeance is your dream come true.
But you will be very lucky to find kicks that are long, clean, deep with a tight attack e.g. Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia, Floyd - Come 2 Gether, Ron Hagen & Pascal M. - On Stream, etc.
IMO for percussion there's hardly any, and what there is aint great. Drum machine samples from modarchive are probably better.
Loops are ok - If you really had to you could shove one in the background of your track.
Claps are quite good, so are snares.
Cymbals/ Hi-hats are quite good.
Bass samples - never used them
Special sounds - too unoriginal, maybe would use now and again.
Cosmic gate, Alphazone, Scott Brown style dream.
Only slightly useful for styles of tracks I mentioned above.
I used to like VCS, but now I'd say 6/10 |

Ueberschall techno trance essentials.
Sample cds aren't really worth the money if you can be bothered finding free samples on the internet. The quality isn't any better. |

Yeah, well I feel guilty about having these samples and not paying for them so I'll buy this anyway. After that I'm really gonna strip down the number of samples I've got because it's just ridiculous!

same here.. I downloaded this pack called MyDrums that has a really ty selection that's definitely going to go when I get these samples. |

Great thread! I was just going to start this myself:
best two I have:
Chicago Fire 5 disc samples for house, electro, trance, etc by sony
DJ puzzle scratch samples
The other sony discs blow. I have, and hate,
Essential sounds
Dub complete
Vir Unis Infusion
Anything zero-g (kind of a newbs traditional poor purchase, but to save someone else the grief)
Anything VIP blows too
I think vengeance is lame.
Best reviewed discs I can't find:
BT twisted textures
Essential drums

web samples arent good at all compared to these pack it simple rules!!
theres no loops for copy-pasters, but with this and NI Battery i can get the professional results i long waited for!
as for bass samples i suggest u get instead Spectrasonics Trilogy, which is a VERY good sample based bass vst synth.. is the best u can get . period. |
