| Does your cat make weird noises at night? If so, how do you shut him/her/it up? |

| no but he walks up to my face, meows loudly at me, then walks away. i usually cordon off the bedroom with a pile of boxes (there's no door). |

BUT some cat's are just vocal when their owners are sleeping - ?? I had a crazy loud:eyespop: cat in South Korea, but all the rest I have had here in Canada are great!

My neighbors have two cats that tend to steal my sleep hours by making the weirdest of noises. I don't know why they do it. They just do. I don't think it has anything to do with something they ate but who knows.
Also, in Mexico, my cousin had a cat that did the same thing.
Maybe cats don't want me to sleep. |

| sometimes my cat makes weird noises when its looking out the window and sees a squirrel or something. its like a weird crackling, incomplete meow. |

I point a loaded dog at him and say "Do you feel lucky, punk? Well? Do ya?" and he shuts up.
p.s - When my cats wake me up in the middle of the night demanding attention, I just reciprocate when they are sleeping. These bastards don't get away with . |

They still wake you up though. The cats don't have to work or go to school but you do. |

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself completely.
When I wake them up, I do it consistently throughout the day. That way they are tired at night too. They sleep while I sleep. I'm serious about this too.
Another thing I do is chase them around and play games with them during the day. You'd be surprised but it wears them out physically and they are more likely to sleep at night, or at least leave you alone because they have gotten their fill of attention.
I know it sounds stupid that I would know this stuff or practice it but, one can only take being woken up every morning at 4am by some cat that just wants petting for so long. One of my cats would just sit in the bathroom and open the cabinet door about 7 inches and then let it slam shut. Over and over and over and over again. That is SOOOOO aggravating at 3am. The sound of a cabinet door slamming shut now sends me into a berserker rage.
So you figure something out. ;) |

Yeah, that's more thorough and it seems like it would work for me. Unfortunately, the cats aren't mine so I can't chase them around. They just come here during the night. I guess throwing old shoes will suffice for now until I figure something out.
Thanks for the help. |

Oh, well in that case, get a Supersoaker. Cats hate water and I'm sure after one or two nights of getting pwnd with it, they will stop. |

My cat does occasionally. I don't think there's a way to stop it. |
