18 and 19 are the best teenage years because for most by this time kids move away from home and get their first taste of freedom. living away from home with a whole building of people your own age, parties at least three nights a week, free alcohol, classes for 10 hours a week (if you choose to go), dining halls supply you with meals, a cleaning service cleans your living space, no worries about paying rent, etc and to top it all off you personally aren't currently paying for this whole experience (you might in the next 30 years but that might as well be never in the mind of a college freshman). All the other teen years suck, but this limbo stage was a good time :gsmile:

So where, and how can i experience this? I turn 18 in a couple of months.

I don't understand how you do not pay for it.

i'd say more like 16 - 25 because that is when you are allowed more freedom and are able to explore the world while STILL having stable fincial support from your parents and then as you approach the end, you are able to venture out with more confidence and have achieved stability yourself.

I hav no clue what to do.

personally, i have depressing memories of my teen years. i wouldn't say they were bad but i have become increasingly happy in life as i have gotten older.

i suppose to help you with your essay, you could say that being a teen is better because many teens have no financial obligations or any other kind of responsibilities. It is nice not to have to worry about your car payment, insurance, mortgage, etc. Also, you don't have to worry about kids or other kinds of responsibilities. it's harder to say why being a teen is better than being in your early twenties when you are employed and single. you'll have to bull that part.

there are better times than your teens. I haven't been through em all, but once I do I'll let you know.

hey boomer, Bas rutten jus won his comeback by TKO.

teens as a whole no. i'd say the 18-2x years are the best. freedom, independence

my teen years were . but i didn't have a normal "teen life" since i was riddled with psychological defects

Knowing that Bas Rutten beat the out of Kimo should make you happy.

Go to college and live in the dorms, orientation week begins it all...I don't know if my experience was atypical but I sure had a great time and I didn't even go to a "party school."

Also keep in mind I said you currently aren't paying for it meaning you will be paying back college loans in the future. If you are lucky that amount won't be so high because of free money from scholarships, grants and family members.

enferno
nope

i didn't nearly as much then as i do now :wtf:

then again, i wasn't married

I can honestly say that my teens were a horrible experience. You just can't make some sweeping general statement like that. It all depends on what life gives you, and what you make of it. I've met people in their 50s who were having the time of their lives.

My only goal in life is that; not fame, not money, not power, but to just squeeze out every last drop of fun, even when I'm old and wrinkled. I've realized this at the end of my teens. Life is too short for all these restrictions that society puts on us. You just gotta make the most of every day you have.
