I wasn't thinking full on telepathy, just a baby step. Where your mind automatically selects the right interpretation.
I still have to say "I am holding a pipe"
but attached telepathically would be the adjective "plumbing"
So when you hear me you automatically picture the correct type of pipe.

of course. from memory, according to the stephen hawking's universe DVDs there was plenty of science going on before/independently of the first philosophers.
i think the philsophers only caught up with the scientists when they spent hundreds of years trying to turn lead into gold :p |

Thales (often regarded as the father of science), Pythagoras (the so-called "father of numbers"), Zeno of Elea (the supposed inventor of the dialectic, if we are to trust our old friend ->), Aristotle (physics anyone? :p)
