| I just got my decks, two Techs Mk5s. I want to get a mixer this week so I can get up and running. I've been thinking the Nuo 4. It seems like a solid mixer, has midi (I know there is much debate about how important it really is), and has 4 channels so down the road I could add two cdjs. Do you think this is a good mixer to get or should I go with something else? Should I just go witha Nuo 3 instead? I'd like to keep it to $700 or less shipped. Thanks for your imput. |

search. The Nuos have been discussed in depth several times recently. As for Nuo4 vs Nuo3, look at the features and decide what you do and don't need. No one will sit here and say "you won't need midi so get the 3", because no one knows your circumstances and its somehing you need to decide FOR YOURSELF.
Theres no doubting they are a class piece of machinery though. I'm sure you wouldn't be at all disappointed if you got one.
You also need to consider if you want effects, I dunno what price the Denon DNX-1500 runs to nowadays over there but it may be worth a look if you are that way inclined.
But if you don't need effects I'm sure one of the Nuo's will do just fine. Maybe also look at the Xone mixers, but they tend to rack up the moola pretty quick, for 700 I'd guess you'd ony be able to get the 32, in which case personally I'd be leaning towards the Nuo's again. |
