Currently im using my desktop PC: P-IV 2.8/i865PE/1Gb/80 for powering my Scratch Live. i put the audio buffer to max and USB buffer to min and everything works perfectly.
But now my dad is planning to get a laptop soon. Cant force him to buy something ultra powerful since he's taking it for his job and not particulary for my DJing needs lol!
Having a target price in mind I went to several computer shops to look for suitable laptops - the majority of laptops I picked out were around this: Pentium M 1,73 Ghz/i915/512 DDR2/60Gb.
Will that be enough to keep the SSL in tight response? Should I buy additional 512 of RAM? any thoughts..?
ps: wadda you think about the new Centrino Duo line of mobile CPUs, the Core Duo T2300 1.66 in particular?? is it much more efficient than Core Solo / Pentium M ? |

| You should get a core due laptop, probably Toshiba with at least 512mb ram. 1GB is better of course, but you can always upgrade later. Make sure you like the screen and the harddrive is at least 5400RPM. Having 3-4 USB ports is also handy. |

| A laptop with that spec will be more than adequate, Serato doesn't hog much memory, just look at their recommended spec. |
