| hey guys..listen i started collectin vinyls not so long ago...so..i bought some Astral Projection albums on vinyl...and i bought Mahadeva which is very very rare...so the question is to everyone who collects vinyls and have some rare one...would you play those rare vinyls? i am afraid of scracthing it or something... |

You definatley have to play them!!!
Sure it's nice to have those rare vinyls. Show them for display, tell others you have them, but the main thing you have them is because you love the track and you love listening to it.
Worried about scratching them, well if they are really that special to you, I'm sure you'll take extra special care of it while spinning it then. ;) |

Vinyl is meant to be played. If you don't play it, it gets sad and depressed ... all the other records will start making fun of it and eventually your record will commit suicide. What is a scratch compared to a suicidal records ?! PLAY THEM for crying out loud.
I never understood people who collect things like that. How does the mere fact of owning an object mean something to you !?
BTW. the record you're talking about is Mahadeva - Original and 1996 Remix ? On Transient (orange label with blue print) ? Hehe, you should see how good that tracks works on a dancefloor, especially the B-side with the 1996 RMX. WOOT. I wouldn't be able to just leave that track at home, no matter how rare it may be. |
