afternoon technology heads or people who may be able to assist me.
i have been finding lately that on some of the music cd's i am burning (most recently) are not playing on a dj setup which uses Pioner CMX-3000 dual cd players.
no idea why, they're fresh burns on the same type of cd media (TDK) as i have always used.
i finalise the cd in nero, and never burn over 16x speed.
any ideas?? |

im assuming you have these CDs working in non DJ CD drives. first off, id look at getting a new burner. they really dont last that long before the lense gets a bit bitchy and ceases to work properly.
btw burning speed doesnt make any difference. if a media can cope with 32x, 16x wont be any \'safer\'. |

sorry man, thats all i got for you. if its just a CDR issue then perhaps the cmx3000 doesnt like CDRs??

That's actually incorrect - burning CD's above 24 for use in CDJ's etc can result in them not playing.
Just ask Virginia :) |

ok, ill amend that. perhaps burning at such speeds make it difficult for CDJs, however that would be peculiar to DJ equipment. if the CD burns correctly at 50x, there will be no difference on the copy burnt at 16x, from a cd player or CDROM perspective.
i cant afford CDJs so i cant comment on them. |

I used to find that burning at very high speeds and/or having many pc system processes running would result in my cdr's skipping when i'd play them back - not cool.
I've been using Taiyo Yuden cdr's for burning music and they have only ever failed me once - on an american audio rack mount dj/cd player.
Did you try some of the cd's that used to work - or did you just test brand new burnt cdrs ? If it's only the new ones that are ed, clean the lens of your burner or get a new one :) |

Are they the same as the ones downstairs at Tilt?
I always used to have issues with them when i was running the place. Maybe you might need to get them serviced Soups? They seem very temperamental to me. |
