We all know Techinics are the standard for decks, and Pioneer for cdjs, but is there an industry standard for needles? What needles are in the club that you spin at?
s3nate
I don't spin at clubs but I am guessing probably White Labels or something expenisve.

Ortofon Nightclubs are pretty standard, as far as i've seen.

you see Stanton Trackmasters out there as well. i've never actually seen a pair of WhiteLabels in any club here.

for hip hop clubs, i'm guessing they'd go for Shure M44-7s, since they are the legendary scratch cart.

I was just about to say the Nightclubs and the M44-7's also. From what I've come to understand, they are pretty much the de facto standard for dj and club use.

You could probably throw in the Trackmasters as well, but I didn't think they were as prominent anymore.

I have yet to play in a club yet but everyone tells me to bring your own needles.

Um yeah, the industry standard for needles is bring your own. I'd never want a house needle touching my wax.

from what I've seen, its been the Ortofon carts, but now I'm seeing more Whitelabels replacing Orto's. I know Space in Miami is using Whitelabels for there system for a while now.
