the moral grounds on eating your best friend

i was talking to a co-worker about some stuff i read on murderers last night on wikipedia, namely this one cannibal guy. so he says he read a story of these two hikers that went into the mountains and got completely lost and didn't know what to do. Well, a week past by and no luck so far so one of the hikers kills the other one and starts to eat his body. Couple of days later, he's found by some other hikers, but the police take him in and he's brought to trail for the murder of the other hiker.
i know it's not completely OK to kill you friend to survive, but should the guy have spend time in prison for trying to stay alive?
it sounded like that Amanda scenario in Saw where she has to kill that guy to get the key to her head contraption. |

Theres plenty of stuff to eat out there is one is a little resourcful, its not like they chrashed a plane on top of a moutain, they went hiking so there were probably enough digestable items around to prevent them from starving.
And yes he should serve time in prison, he willingly took another humans life. Just becouse he a ing idiot who doesnt prepare himself before going out doent mean he can kill another person to keep his sorry ass alive. |
