Bad defeat, Arsenal was superior. What made the difference was their ability to attack very fast, with lots of players permanently doing movimentations. Our defence simply isn't capable of dealing with such a dynamic attack, we rely too much on last second tackles, plus half the team was nervous.

We're in a bad situation now in the group, 3 points being CSKA. CSKA isn't superior to us by any means, but it'll be hard to overtake them in the table. As for Hamburg, I saw the game in Russia and they looked quite poor, I believe they'll be 4th placed and dead last. So we should be able to go to UEFA Cup at least.

Discipline... it's just a matter of discipline. Benfica players, in three games, have seen as much red cards as they saw two years ago, when they were champions, in the whole season. I confess that we had a bit of bad luck, Luisão and Katsouranis should have wrapped it up before injury time... but we didn't play hugely enough to overpower Paços.
And tuesday I don't think we played too bad... but we lost. And Santos saw what the supporters think of him...
... oh, and Anderson should spend some time on the bench (not yours, ours).

2 weeks ago: we had our second consecutive defeat, the first in the national league, losing 2-1 in Braga. A bad moment for the team. Great moment for Postiga though, who scored in that game, and also scored twice yesterday as we beat Marítimo 3-0.

Highlights:

Next: key Champions League home game against Hamburg.

Anyone see that 'back-heeled lobbed shot' towards the angle from quaresma?

That was unbelievable, and from such as distance.

i think what you're talking about was a crossing attempt he completely missed :wtf:

anyway, he's on excellent form and been a key part on several important matches lately - against Sporting, Benfica, Hamburg, CSKA, Arsenal yesterday... i'm glad the "Quaresma is crap on important matches" thing is over ;)
