Perhaps I am. Perhaps I'm just joking. I'm going to ignore it right now because I can't afford to pick up every album I hear raved about, and there are more interesting things on my "to buy" list, that are more readily available. Plus the title really is awful.

fair does, however I hope you don't use titles to judge cd's in the future, it's easy to make a catchy or controversial one just to sell an average cd. This one, yeah it is a bit silly, but when you lift the lid on it, you get the tunes that keep a lot of the people in this thread interested in trance :)

I think presentation (album name, track titles, artwork) is quite an important thing in music, which is often overlooked in the MP3 age. An album's packaging should give you some idea of the music it contains. Not only does it help contextualise it, but often it can be the thing which makes you interested in an album that you otherwise might pass by. Like I said- right now this isn't an essential purchase for me, unlike you guys, so the first impression of the album cover could be pretty important in making me think "Yeah, I might give that a try" instead of "That looks a bit amateurish".

So I'd never neglect a record just because of what's on the front, but it can be more important than you think in swaying casual buyers.

thats weird. i got some records with awfully ugly covers but the content is some of the best in my collection.

but if you were perusing tracks in a record store, chances are you'd pick up a record with a cover and/or title that attracts your eye, and interests you, while passing by the ugly record.

these days you won't find any of these releases in your traditional music stores, infact the dance music store I used since 1989 shut down 2 yrs ago, so i rely purely on online orders + the odd trip into a bigger city

Is that in any way relevant to what I said? Did you buy all of them on a whim? Without having heard them? You must be a pretty wealthy guy to just buy loads of records wildly regardless of first impressions.

Honestly, looking at an album with such a ridiculous title like this, I'd be really put off from it instantly. Unless it was meant as some kind of joke, but coming from a psy-trance act and reading the whole summary of the 1st post it's obvious they're dead serious about it.

I mean, looking at the title (and cover, which is bat insane as well) the track I imagine in my mind would be a cookie-cutter produced-in-ejay sounding full-on piece, with vocals consisting of a bunch of mad cool words like "trance! experience! psychoactives! extragalactic spaceship!", followed by the 90's whale whistle. OE OE

That being said, it might actually contain decent music. I'm not risking my sanity to find out.

the fact that you can't take the risk like some sissys shows how little you know when it comes to trance music. Human Blue is a well recogniced producer both within progtrance and psytrance (formerly a well known goa producer as well). I bet you already missed his earlier productions which I rank as some of the best and most innovative progtrance tunes since the mid 90s.
So put your prejudices aside and listen to the music. After all that is what you are paying for.

besides its not released on some random fag label but on Transient which is one of UK's oldest trance labels and one of the few psytrancelabels still active. Check their back catalogue for some timeless gems.
