paul van dyk bassline?

This one has been doing my head in for ages. all his basses are thumping yet you hardly hear them. it doesnt sound like he uses saw oscillators yet he carries them well.
anyone any idea on how to create one of this?

and go from there it's damn close as is I think :) |
