I am going to be in Chicago this weekend for work, and I was thinking about going out one night...Can anyone recommend a good show for the weekend, preferably Saturday night?? Somewhere fun with a safe reputation, since I'm a girl and I'm going by myself. I checked out your events thread, but I wanted some opinions from the people that live there.
(There was something up there about BT and James Lauer on Saturday, but then it disappeared. is that no more??)

BT/Lauer have been replaced by "VHS or Beta". I've heard a lot of good things about them but personally haven't heard their new album yet so I can't recommend. But the wide consensus is that they have been kicking lots of ass.
Ben Watt at Smart-Bar is another option.
Friday is a much better night to go out: Mark Farina @ Smart-Bar for deep house, Hyper @ Spybar for breakbeats and Cajmere/Dajae at Zentra for house. Cajmere/Dajae's show in April was phenomenal I've been told by a lot of people - I didn't get a chance to go unfortunately.
Personally, I'd hit up Spybar on Friday for Hyper. |

I know, I saw that! I was gonna try to go, but it's kinda far away :( Got a 10:30am flight on Sunday back to CA |
