Soooooooooooooooo Tru, 2/3 of people there are too party or lick the paint off the walls, which ever it might be, space is the place to party party party, and for us which consist of about a 1/3 of the people in the club are there for the music and the DJ, I remember one nite, some clown yelling to the DJ, saying yahhhhhhhhhhhhh Tiesto, the DJ was PVD, that rests my case :gsmile: |

It only makes sense that Tiesto.. [NOT PLAYING EITHER EVENT] made Luis pist and didn't want him at space.
to Luis it should be an HONOR to play at HIS CLUB. It's not cuz Tiesto is omfg so much money.
BANG! is a festival and Tiesto is gonna have his own rider with things to set up the stage. Hence why it's costing so much.:wtf: |

This is exactly my point. LP could book Ronald McDonald, Kermit the Frog, or lab monkeys to DJ there at little or no added costs whatsoever and the club still gets packed to the rafters. So why would he pay Tiesto $50,000.00 (his supposed lowest booking fee -try it if you do not believe me) to $150,000.00 (his supposed Bang Music Fest booking fee) to have just about the same amount of people attend and make less money? It is one thing to spend $5000 to $10,000 on a guest DJ and take a little bit of a hit in profits, if any hit at all as slightly higher admission fees may work it out. Yet LP did not make Space what it is today and all that money by making dumb financial/business decisions. Anyone who thinks the costs of booking a DJ such as Tiesto does not play any role in whether Space brings him has never run a business and is only fooling themselves. Details matter, and money is usually the most important one.
And contrary to what someone else posted, LP does not refuse to book Tiesto because he is pissed or mad at him. I am sure LP gets mad at people every minute of the day, every day of the week and has worked with many such people agin and again where it suits his botom line profits . Yet when it makes business sense to work with someone he will. It is only business, not personal. Remember LP had a falling out with Edgar V way back when due to that whole "Trance Peru" BS that got LP mad. Yet he still books Edgar. |
