I'm looking for AKG K81Djs. They've been getting amazing reviews... from head-fi.
here's a link to a retailer.. but theyre all the way out in the west coast.. so shipping's probably not that cheap.

| head-fi = mother freakin awsome forum. They are the reason I got the altec lancing iM716s I neven in my life thought I would spend 75 bucks on a pair of freakin headphones. |

I know you've already made up your mind on these ones but I have the AKG 271 studios and they F'ing rock. If you can scap together the extra moola they are well worth it. (they aren't your typical DJ headphones but they would work fine for that too)... edit never mind you likely want them more bass heavy for mixing (AKG 271S are really nice and flat)... yeah stick with the DJ style ones.
as for shipping from Cali, it would likely be the same price as if they were shipped from anywhere in the US anyway. Try shipping them to a friend marked as a birthday present, then go pick them up. as long as the shipping address/name doesn't match the billing then it can be pulled off. |
