i found a brand new Netgear wireless router in my apt as I was cleaning it up. One of my roomies presumably forgot to take it with him when he left. :D I have a wireless airimba connection. My question is, can i configure the router to make my internet work faster ?

| router doesn't have any configuration for increasing the bandwidth of your internet drop. you can configure it such that it routers a bit more precise by assigning ports for specific services, etc, but you aren't going to notice a difference much. You might see a small difference in local transfers from machine to machine if you are sharing drives etc. |

| just wondering cause router might have better reception as compared to the wireless card in my laptop. Can the router receive wireless signals and also broadcast them ? I was thinking of making the router receive signals from Airimba and transmit that to my laptop. SO I might not have low signal strength problem, which I sometimes do. |
