Tough loss for Rutgers
So close so many times to its first Big East title in over 100 years, its first ever BCS Bowl berth, and its first ever win at West Virginia, but coming out on the losing end of a thriller.
Instead it's Louisville taking the title, and probably going to the Orange Bowl to face Wake Forest |

Fiesta Bowl: Boise State vs. Oklahoma
Orange Bowl: Louisville vs. Wake Forest
Sugar Bowl: LSU vs. Notre Dame
Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. USC
National Championship: Florida vs. Ohio State
(if the Gators win, they would have the national title in both football and men's basketball at the same time) |

YEAH FLOOOOOOOORIDA!!! GO GATORS!!! Truly gonna be the way it should be, the champions of the top 2 conferences. However, I still hope this leads to the BCS being destroyed for a playoff, but I don't think that'll ever happen in our lifetimes!
Lots of great bowl games this year! I'll get the predictions thread started tomorrow like last year :) |

| imo, a well deserved national championship between ohio state and florida. amazing how urban meyer did a 180 on this team from mediocre last year to potential champs this year. I think this is going to be a very good matchup between these two teams. As long as Florida can keep the giveaways at a lesser pace, they have a good chance at OSU. |

My Playoff Proposal:
Keep the BCS ranking system and the top 16 get into the playoffs. The other teams who have done ok but not top 16 will go into other bowls.
Anyway here is how it would look for this year IMO:
BCS SYSTEM IS GAY BRACKET #1
1. Ohio State vs 16. Rutgers
8. Boise State vs 9. Auburn
3. Michigan vs 14. Wake Forest
5. USC vs 12. Arkansas
BCS System Is Gay Brack # 2:
2. Florida vs 15. Vagina Tech
7. Wisconsin vs 10. Oklahoma
4. LSU vs 13. West Virginia
6.Louisville vs 11. Notre Dame
The winners of the games will play the next round bla bla just like NCAA basketball. That would be how I have it. Have the Sweet 16 and Final 8 in Bowls like Gator, Cotton, Outback etc and the Final Four in Rose, Sugar, Fiesta and Orange. And the National Championship at wherever the BCS Championship is held now a days.
It would start if it was this year on December 23th giving the teams a 2 week layoff and having the National Championship be on the 13th of Saturday. Just would be my idea.
I dont get the point of the other bowls besides the national championship....they are really just "good exhibition games" with the schools to have a chance to take some of that TV money from them. You can make the case as 16 teams is too much but that will mean less whinning from teams snubbed as the top 16 teams this season are all pretty much .800 or more unlike the others....I dont know im tired of this gay curropt system. |

My Picks:
Fiesta Bowl: Boise State 24 vs. Oklahoma 35
Orange Bowl: Louisville 31 vs. Wake Forest 17
Sugar Bowl: LSU 42 vs. Notre Dame 28
Rose Bowl: Michigan 31 vs. USC 17
National Championship: Florida 10 vs. Ohio State 35
This year's BCS games will pretty much all be blow outs. The ones I see potentially being close are the Michigan/USC and Louisville/Wake Forest games. Even those probably won't be close.
BTW - There's no way we'll ever see a 16 team playoff. That would add up to 4 games to the season. Right now teams are playing up to 13 games in the regular season and there's no way teams are going to play 17 games no matter how many breaks you throw in there. The most I think we'll ever see is an 8 team playoff. That would only add 3 games, and if you drop teams back to a 12 game regular season, you'd be at 15 games, which is only one more than teams are playing now. Sure, it's not 16 teams, but it would be a lot easier to stomach a controversy over who is number 8 and 9 vs. who is number 1 and 2. |

| i am happy for the success of the SEC and Big Ten schools and the bowls they are in ....... however, i am not happy with teams like Alabama getting a bowl berth. :wtf: this team sucks . they only got in, because they are in the SEC. that's the one thing i do not like about this system. the crappy teams in the heavyweight conferences get bowl eligibility. |

Notre Dame *cough* *cough*
Sure, they're not even in a conference, but they have no reason whatsoever for being in a BCS bowl game. They're going to get annihilated. |
