Randy Katana - Plastic Fantastic (pg. 3)

At first I really didn't like this track. THen I noticed that damn melody got stuck in my head for days! It grew on me. It's quite simple, which I like, and the fast rolling snares and drums remind me of Apache-Starfighter.
No way do I think this is a GREAT track, it's alright, at best. But that damn melody, DAMMIT, gets stuck in my head... and now it's stuck again.....
and that's what makes the track 'work' :) |

I think you should check out Plastikman - Spastik and Rune - Calabria. Then come back and tell us your opinion again.
Oh yeah: please check the release dates of these 2 tracks. |

| You can describe the track perfectly in one word: CRAP!!! Katana is so lazy he just makes a mash-up of 2 old tunes and renames it to a track of his own. It isn't even a good mash-up! |

| Markus Schulz threw down an edit that just uses the Spastik part and doesnt have the sax in it. He only played it for about 3 mins and it was a great transition track, and really worked in that way. But the full version....tyou can't even call it trance with the sax in it. It reminds me of some old Cajmere style stuff that is annoying as all hell. |

the rapid decline of katana boggles the mind.
to go from tunes like "say yes," "alesis," "silence," "tribal shock", and his "cristalle" remix to "play it louder" and this current horrorshow of a tune is depressing and sad. :( |

like it or not, this tune definetely sounds great in a club... i heard it twice armin playing it and it was great.
listening to it home u can tell its nothing special whatsoever and it gets boring. its weird but definetely nice in club environment. and thats what randy katana is all about. |
