Morning-after pill?

So I don't get it, what's the deal with the morning-after pill?
There is no way you can legally get it, anywhere in the USA? Or there's age restrictions of some kind?
Can someone clarify? I just find it incredible if it is true that it's not available in the USA. Even a 16-yr-old girl can legally get it in Britain from her doctor, but in the "freest" most industrial country in the world, Plan B doesn't exist?:wtf: |

| You can get it in the US, but they don't sell it over the counter. Have to go to a doctor. |

i believe when i had a scare in the past...we went...they gave her an examination and then the pill. i don't really know much more from the female perspective... |
