Will there ever be a period of '99, for Trance again??

LETS PARTY LIKE IT'S '99 (AGAIN).....
This was the best period for Trance witout a dowt, when it was in the mainstream eye, and u cudnt escape this new sound. All the critics say its gone downhill, and it will never arise to that point again. Bull, 2002 i see is gonna be even better for Trance, with so many producers and remixer's in todays world of Trance, that are making it happen.
PS I mean look at the productions, weve been blessed since Santa left us.... |

Hopefully not :) People just forget the bad stuff, there were plenty of cheesey/crap tunes about in '99. I bet in a few years time people will be able to name plenty of quality tunes from 2001, but not many bad ones.
I think people look at '99 as the best year for trance because it's a period when a lot of people started to take notice of Trance, and it holds so many memories for people. But as for the quality of the tunes, yeah there are a ton of classics, but that's been the case every year since IMO.
There'll never be another 1999 because the music has evolved, and that's how it should be. 2002 has been an absolute blinder so far, can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings :p |

yeah i agree Spad, it has evolved, but if it wasnt for the Tunes in 99 (ie the ideas), they would be no point of reference for todays productions to be based on.

| will there ever be another RENAISSANCE? no, but who cares. Epic/uplifting/hard trance is alive and well...i love 2002 so far. |

Yep. But the music from 99 didn't suddenly appear from nowhere, it evolved from the music in previous years just like todays music evolved from the music played in 99. And I'm sure that there'll be a whole new sound in a few years time that's evolved from the music we're listening to right at this moment.

Well if the music stayed the same, how can it go forward. Im not saying 99 was the ultimate time period for Trance, im saying will there be a time where it comes reborn, ie a different level of Trance.
Fook knows what type of Trance will be named, or classed in the future. BUT I CANT WAIT!! |

Cause I guarntee u that if AVB starts mixing some of these songs I'm listening too, there is no way in hell this year is not going down in history for trance. The songs are such high quality any way, once some more talented producers start remixing and producing for 2002, were in for a fukin treat! |

That song is the sadest song I've heard in forever, I'd tell you what it makes me think of, but everyone @ work laughed @ me so I'll just keep it to myself =P |
