AUGUST 18, 2006 LAS VEGAS, NV – Vegas Music Conference, an International music conference focused on the education, growth and support of electronic and dance club music, has announced its entire talent line up as well as the first release of conference speakers, panels and workshops. Vegas Music Conference received over 400 emerging artist submissions from across the world ranging as far away as Indonesia, Greece, London, France, Netherlands, Canada and Alaska. Out of the 400 submissions only 50 were chosen to perform during the Vegas Music Conference along side of world famous artists. Vegas Music Conference is being hosted at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on September 20-24, 2006 and has partnered with some of the top nightclubs in the city of Las Vegas including ICE Las Vegas, Body English, Late Night Empire, Simon’s Patio and International clubbing giants Crobar Worldwide and Club Space Miami.

Who is Seb Fontaine?
"I play electronic house music which can be anything from breaks to techy stuff", explains Seb Fontaine.
Nu skool breaks, debauched electro-house and dark sleazy beats may be a better description.
The opportunity to prove himself came when he took over from the legendary Paul Oakenfold as Cream resident. A leap of faith for both the club and himself. Of course as we all know the gamble payed off, and now with a weekly slot on Radio 1, Fontaine seems to have become one of the big league players.
Seb had dance music in his blood from the day he was conceived in Ibiza - his mother is a semi-professional DJ.
Growing up in West London, Seb's initial musical development was stimulated by ska, but soon dropped out of college to pursue a career as a DJ. His first big gig was at Crazy Larry's on the Kings Road, getting paid �30 a night to spin.
By 1989, Seb landed a residency at The Fridge, Brixton, where he played mainly hip hop and rare groove, swiftly followed a year later by a residency at The Wag, playing raggae, rare groove and acid. Next came a residency at Subterania, alongside Norman Jay and Jeremy Healy. In 1993, Seb gained his first house residency at Glitterati at The Cross.
Malibu Stacey was the next stop for Seb - a night he put together and promoted at the Hanover Grand with friend Craig Richards. As Malibu got more established, Seb got increasingly restless, and took to the road in a big way, focusing more and more outside of London, becoming one of the UK's hardest working 'motorway jocks'. At the same time, music becomes harder and deeper.
In 1998, Seb was offerred a residency at Cream, which soon became a weekly gig. In 1999, Seb took Ibiza by storm, with Cream at Amnesia.
Seb clinched the deal with Radio 1 in February 2000, initially for dance shows exclusively on Radio 1, gaining him the nickname 'super-sub'. He also joins Radio 1 in its mammoth summer of live music at the major dance festivals, and at the station's own Radio 1 Dance Parties.
Seb Fontaine has grown in stature, and popularity for longer than most people realize.
The World Party & Wet Grooves have pursued Seb for nearly eight long years to play the right gig, and finally, on Saturday, September 23 he lays down his funky beats and chunky treats poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. |
