These countries are so stupid with their ID bull and 18/19/21+ wtvr . I was just in europe for a month didn't get carded once now im here trying to go to a bar with some friends and they won't serve me. wtf seriously. Clubbing is not something new to me either, its something i do every weekend for the most part and have been doing so for the last 3/4 years.
Its like something so routine for me that now has extra stupid complications. Half the places i go to let me in with the fake i have, half tell me to off.
This is stupid.
2.5 months til 18.
I had no desire to ever turn 18 until I started facing this . Why can't you people be more liberal! ! |

| trust me. its worse when you see people in other countries your age being able to go out knowing you cant for another couple years, although when i am 21 i'll appreciate the fact that a bunch of immature kids like me arent running around disturbing my new found right to drink legally. |

in some places here, pubs/bars etc, you can go in from age 14 or 16 i think it is, but only get served at 18, so that rule doesn't always apply :p

Europe is so easy to get served in, when I was 18 & my brother was 16, we were in mallorca & never got a single id, best of all were the touts trying to get u to buy a drink, where if u bought one, they got a tip & you'd get a 2nd one free. good (slightly tipsy) times :D |

ugh. i bet. ing USA
although i suppose I cant complain too much. its not like those laws actually STOP me from drinking. and 5 bucks for all you can drink at a house party is so much more economical than a night at the bars :p |

since i've only ever seen house parties in movies (american ones ie.) how many actually do get busted? like a tiny number ? |

it really depends where you are. some cities are more tolerant of that . at my uni there are literally dozens of house parties a night on thurs, fri and saturdays. I'd say about 1/4 to 1/3 probably get busted but nothing ever happens to the people drinking there. i've only heard one occurence where the cops tried to keep every single person there to ticket. for the most part the cops will come in and everyone will just leave and the house owner will get a noise violation or something and that'll be it. Although once you're outside walking around you're on your own. Theoretically a cop could stop you and give you a breathalizer and ticket you but unless you're being loud or trying to start , they'll drive by and ignore you. they know better than to think they're going to stop thousands of people from drinking each weekend.
