| I really like your sound Drik - always full of emotion (is that intentional?). This one has very nice harmony and the break totally kills me. I always have difficulty with songs like this when I'm out partying cos when it breaks and gets me in the knees then it takes me a while to get up on my feet again. Yep, i'm gonna kill some of my buddies with this one (if I may Drik). Thanks. Flynno |

Thanks a lot guys!
Guess I'll keep up the style then :)
@Ryarni: Glad that you liked this one as well, let me know how it went if you play it :D
@Akia: some chick with a guitar won, but I got in second place :)
@Kunisaki: will do mate :)
@flynno: Thanks man, I usually start by doing the string part and I always try getting it as emotional as possible hehe :D |

I really like the breakdown part at 2:50... nice strings and piano with awesome emotional melodies. I've nearly all your stuff on my hdd and i've to say that this is one of your best works next to "Stuck in a Dream" and "Birth Of A Phase"..
Other than some of your other works you've used here very good transitions like that one at 0:55.
You've developed your own style which is marked through your pad and bass. This one gains an official release for sure!
Thanks for share :) |

Thanks a lot Lancaster :D
I'm going to work on both Birth of a Phase and Stuck in a Dream to make two more trance adapted versions with Tiff Lacey singing on them :) |

Really like this one.
Every 10th track I hear on this forum is worth listening to.
Very good production. I would have filled the upper lower part of the sound image. Where a TB303 line would go. It sounds like there's a gap between the bass and the instruments. It's a clean sound image, but _I_ get a feeling something is missing.
I'm just being picky. :) Great track no matter what.
Keep 'em coming! :)
One last thing. What sounds come from the JP8000? |
|
|
| Drik |
Thanks man, glad you liked it :D
Hmm, actually, a tb-303 line could work, I used one in my last track and it gave a nice result..I'll have a go at it later and see what happens. I know what frequencies you mean though and I have to agree I could have had something there.
I only use one sound from the jp8000 in this one, it's the highpithced string pad that enters a bit muffled at 2 min that grows in strength until it's released fully at 2:45 in this sample. |

hey mate,
we can definitly hear the hardware synths in your track :)
Especially the bassline parts and synths are fat, and the mixing is good too, very clear sound.
Personally I think the drum roll occurs too often in the buildup.
The melody was really nice too: half epic, half emotional
good job on this one ! |

Thanks mate :D
Yeah I think I want a bit wild with those rolls hehe, I like that sound though :toothless
Got a mail this morning too that BTR wants to sign it :)
Would be cool as this would be my first solo release with remixes of my track, not released with some other artist :D |
