Here's the info i got, Im going to try and make it with a couple of friends, if any other TAs are planning on going, we should have a meetup....
"DEMONSTRATION
for justice and peace in Lebanon ... NOW!
SUNDAY 6 August 2006, at 1:00 pm RALLYING POINT: Parc
Lafontaine (corner of De La Roche and Rachel)
Quebec stands up for justice and peace in Lebanon ... NOW!
Lebanon is being destroyed. In the name of its legitimate right to exist and its security Israel is devastating Lebanon.
Bombarded from the air, sea and land Lebanon is being transformed
into a land of blood and flames.
The result of this "measured" aggression (as the Prime Minister of
Canada calls it): More than 800 civilians dead, over 3,000 wounded,
close to a million displaced and the total destruction of the county's infrastructure (airports, roads, houses, communication facilities, factories, etc.).
The symbol of this madness is the decapitated bodies of the innocent children of Qana. Meanwhile the Israeli army continues to bombard and kill Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the West bank.
We call on all Quebecers to DEMONSTRATE with us to:
Demand, immediately, a cease-fire without conditions;
Demand the respect of international conventions, international law and
"all" UN resolutions on the Middle East;
Insist that the Harper government disassociate itself from the policies of the US and work for justice and peace in the Middle East;
Show our solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian people." |

You demand the respect of UN resolutions?
how about we start by demilitarising and erradicating hezbollah as the the un resolution states
israel respected the demands of the UN by pulling out in 2000 |

the one u r talking about in 2000, it took them 17 years to respect the resolution 425
