*edited for good taste*

If you think I am out to personally get you trust me I would have a crapload more threads to post in.

You have NO RIGHT to make a judgement on how people feel about these movies, events and everything that has followed up since 9/11.

I cannot prevent you from feeling that perhaps this is overmediatized, perhaps too early...., but I really can't let you speak like this:

Who cares, it was all the way back in 2001.

GET OVER IT JEEZ...

I will be quite literal and say there is actually tons of people who do care.

You can't speak for the majority, you do not represent anyone else but yourself.

I lost 5 people because of 9/11 so perhaps your comments sting me a little.

Have I gotten over it? NO.
Have I dealt with it and made my peace? YES.

I personally feel that the movie was pretty much made for everyone else. "Everyone else" being non-New Yorkers. I definately expect the movie to do really well, though I'm not sure how well it will do in NYC. I personally don't need to be told the story of 9/11. The real thing was enough. The only thing that I would like viewers to keep in mind is that it's just a movie. It's just a rendition of what happened. There's quite a bit of what went on that never made it out of NYC and that will certainly not be depicted in the movie. If I ever see this movie I'd watch it as critically as I'd watch a movie like Fahrenheit 9/11.

Also worth noting, some actors portrayed people against the wishes of their families. :thepirate

+1 on what Blake said.

I wasn't in Nyc for 9/11 but I made it out there many times in the months following the event and even that was quite stirring from an emotional point of view. I don't either feel compelled to go see this.

Maybe in a couple years if I randomly happen to be able to see it but I'm really not going to go out of my way.

Maybe it affected me more because you guys clicked this thread expecting to see sometihng about 9/11...something that will affect your emotions in some way.
I was in the cinema laughing at the trailers then they played this one...kinda caught me off guard.
Just a thought.

I respect points of view...i like to see both sides of the arguements...i dont like to see jokes about tradgedys though.

I'll probably go to see the film...but from the trailer it looks like it is going to be in the cliched hollywood style...especially when Nicholas Cage says "Who's with me?"...then they take it in turns: "I got in Sarge"..."I'm with you Sarge"..."You can count on me Sarge".
Still looks like a good film though.

Agreed.
But still, the parts under the ground looked...intruiging i think would be the best work...because you wonder what happens. "Based on a true story" makes you think they make it out...but...How?

I'd see it...but i'd probably rent it rather than watch it in the cinema...i'd rather do it that way...dunno why

I'm hoping World Trade Center is as good as (or better) than United 93, which, in my opinion, is one of the best films I've ever seen.

Oh, Orbax, what good are having opinions of if you don't believe in them yourself?

Sorry I have an opinion on something thats radically different from a lot of peoples on here, but you can probably find a lot of people outside of the north east that have the same views as me.

I'm not trying to troll on this subject. Maybe this thread should be in PDD where emotions are at least somewhat more subdued.

After reading your posts on this thread Nou, I've come to the conclusion that you're a low life scumbag who does not give a about human life. I've lost my cousin in that tower and it still hurts till this day and I don't think I'm remotely ready to watch that movie. Opinions are always good Nou, but you're opinions are simply retarded. 9/11 was one of the worst tragedies in the United States history. Thousands of people were killed and a god knows how many people were affected by it. You're worst than a troll, you're easy to read Nou yet you always debate and say the dumbest things to get attention. Just because you're a no getting low life bitch who has nothing better to do than express you're so called "radical" opinions, doesn't give you the rights to talk about the events that took place when the World Trade Center collapsed. Grow up.

I originally chose not to watch the trailer when I first opened the thread, but since you mentioned it again here I went back and watched. I can definately see how that would have caught you off gaurd in the cinema.

"The world saw evil that day" <-- stuff like that bothers me to some extent. In lots of movies based on actual events they take what really happened, and then polarize it by demonizing one group and glorifying another. Rarely in the world is there ever a clear cut absolute evil or pure wholehearted magnanimosity. I guess it wouldn't be a movie if it didn't use a GOOD vs EVIL formula. I worry about the seeds it may plant in the minds of some viewers. I'd say that if you're going to watch it then take it for what it is; a movie, a story, and that's it. Parts may be factual, or not. Things may be omitted, or not. Most likely I'll see this movie at random when it airs on television in a year or two.

Haven't seen this film, but it looks very Hollywood. and a bit cheesey but I do want to see it.

United 93 however was fantastic,s o emotional, brought me to tears.

blah blah blah, I'm talking out my ass again

You never cease to amaze me Nou, you are really one thick headed individual, and I'm not just saying that because you have a huge round head lying on your shoulder. Read my posts before responding you dumb twat, I never said it was the worst, I said is one one of the worst. I'm not here to compare statistics and number of people deceased. I'm just here to let you know that you're a confused individual who thinks his opinions are the only ones that matter. Why are you bringing up the US government and Bush into it, there are so many theories on "The top secret plans" that were set before the destruction of the WTC. Then you come along saying things along the lines of "it happened in 2001, who gives a " and then as soon as the other TA members let you know what kind of dumb you are, you try to justify your posts with more meaningless posts. Just give it up Nou, stop making threads and stop trying to act like you know it all because you don't and neither do we. I'd take you more seriously if you worked for the CIA, FBI, NSA or the other Federal Intelligence agencies, but you don't. So stop ing babbling about you don't know about, you're just a dumb kid who needs to grow up.

Now run along and go masturbate to you Anime punk. You're not entertaining at all, just some ignorant annoying twat.
