fudge wisdom teeth

| for real...what are the point of wisdom teeth they suck...they just grow there...or sometimes they dont, or sometimes they grow normally...or sometimes they grow at a 90 degree angle into ur other teeth!!! AGGH...i think the doctor messed up one of them cuz im my tongue is getting shanked on a daily basis by this sharp broken tooth like object in my mouth...i just had to vent and i havent posted in a while...oh well, atleast i get these perscription meds....vicodin baby! Ima flyin! |

Farken... I feel you man. I had nothing but complications when I had my wisdom teeth out. I tried to get them out last summer and when I got to the dentist (who is a fkn moron and is now my ex-dentist) he was like "oh btw the delivery of nitrous hasn't come yet so you'll be totally concious". This was after I had just come to terms with the fact that I would only be getting laughing gas and not a general anaesthetic. Anyway so I went through getting like 8 shots in my gums, then realised that since I couldn't feel my throat my gag reflex kicked in and he couldn't put anything in my mouth. At this point, I went home.
6 months later I organised to have them taken out by an cosmetic/oral surgeon who actually had an anaestheseologist on hand, which meant I'd get a general anaesthesia and would be out cold for the whole thing. I asked the doc if it mattered that I had a slight cold, and he was like "nah we're giving you a few antibiotics anyway so no worries". Well apart from the accidental slit he put in my tongue during the surgery, which turned into the worst ulcer I have ever experienced and which made eating for the next 2 weeks that much worse... the top right wisdom tooth had a root that went into once of my sinuses. When it was taken out, there was a hole from my mouth into my sinus. The sinus was already inflamed from the cold I had, and now bacteria from my oral cavity was getting in there. This turned into sinusitis which lasted about 5 or 6 weeks, and by the time the other moron of an ENT (ear-nose-throat specialist) realised how bad it was, the scar tissue inside my sinus had become about a centimeter thick. Keep in mind that the sinus is about 4 cm in diameter. The ENT tells me that I'm now prone to sinusitis for the rest of my life unless I get endoscopic surgery to have the scar tissue removed (as in they put a tool all the way up my nose and rip that shit out). The surgery would be several thousand dollars on top of what insurance covered, and I wouldn't be able to blow my nose for a few months because it would increase the amount of scab and blood already coming out of my nose, something that would go on for several months.
Oh, did I mention that from the amount of bone the oral surgeon removed, I needed to have $700 worth of a synthetic powder inserted into the molar sites to encourage new bone to grow? I think about the only thing that went right throughout the ordeal was that we got that for free, as we decided against it pre-surgery and during surgery the doc realised it was critical that I get it.

holy ...
i got all four off the same day in El Salvador last year. I had to have general anaesthesia and it owned. The operation was really good and i barely had any swelling. The dentist that did it fkn pwned. |

I'm in the same boat as Danny Ocean, in the RGV took about 30-45 mins, completly knocked out, all four out at one time. :disbelief |

yea my effin lower wisdom teeth are still in and growin at 90 degrees as for the top 2... they came out and i made a necklace out of it !... but ppl @ work got grossed out...
but yea... i hear those dentists from el salvador (whooo) and mexico and honduras be doin it right when it comes to teeth.

| LOL you have to take 25mg or so for that. I remember there was a Keoki party one time and since Keoki sucks I had to eat about 15 vicodin pills before I went. Best Keoki party evAr! |
